CMA-USA Competes in to two National Sport Ju-jitsu/ Venues
USJJF
The United States Ju-Jitsu Federation was founded in 1971, and is the National Governing Body for Ju-Jitsu in the United States with the Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF).
What does National
Governing Body mean? Simply, in order for Ju-Jitsu is to receive recognition from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), then the IOC requires that International and National governing
organizations be established to standardize rules and other requirements. The face="Arial">Ju-Jitsu

(JJIF) is the recognized International organization (The
World Governing Body for Ju-Jitsu), while the United States
Ju-Jitsu Federation is the National organization
(The National Governing Body for Ju-Jitsu) for the United Statesof
America
with the JJIF.
The JJIF is a full member of the
General Association of
International Sports Federations (GAISF), the
recognized International Federations of the
International Olympic Committee (IOC). The ancient art of
Ju-Jitsu is also a
World Games Sport
and is a member of the Olympic Family of Sports through the
IWGA and the GAISF. The JJIF conducts World Championships every two
years and world level competition in the World Games every four years. For

Additionally, in October of 2000, an agreement between the International
Olympic Committee and the International World Games Association solidified the
cooperation between these two organizations. Since then, the WORLD GAMES have
been conducted under the Patronage and Support of the International Olympic

Yamanaka Kojute Ju-Jitsu
USA Jujitsu-Kwanmukan, was the founding group for the US Ju-jitsu Federation, now headquartered In Reno, Nevada, Headquarters Washington, DC. Hanshi Anderson serves as Commissioner for the Ju-Jitsu International Federation , and is a Senior JJIF Advisor, Chair of the Central Technical Committee of the USJJF, and is possibly the first ninth Dan issued by the JJIF and for sure by the USJJF.
The USA Jujitsu group has great interest in competition, and conducts development and research in traditional jujitsu, hard kenka, weaponry, and high level law enforcement tactics.
